Message from Supervisory Tutor

The New Zealand Institute of Sport (NZIS) in Greenlane is found in the central suburbs of the Auckland metropolis. Having spent many of its early years in Manukau City and more recently in Botany, NZIS has grown, prospered and consequently moved to Greenlane at the beginning of 2012. This new larger site offers a fantastic learning opportunity for all students, with great academic and sporting facilities on site and in proximity to the vibrant central Auckland area, as well as more centrally connected with North, West, East and  South Auckland. All tutors at NZIS are highly qualified & specialise in many areas of sport, fitness & recreation. Their hard work, dedication, pastoral care and support is a major reason why our courses are successful. Together with attracting excellent students who receive a first class learning environment, the NZIS offers a marvellous pathway to students who seek employment in the sport, fitness & recreation industry.

The NZIS in Auckland is very proud of our students and their accomplishments over the years. Students travel from all over Auckland to study: from Orewa/Whangaparoa to Muriwai & the Bombay Hills. NZIS provides an effective & culturally diverse learning environment to attract students from different ethnic backgrounds, particularly from Schools and communities in South and East Auckland and even more so Central Auckland. Their enthusiasm, energy & motivation is welcomed warmly by myself and the proud staff here at NZIS. I look forward to personally meeting all perspective & current students, and their families to work together, so we can all share in their success.
